DIY Stem Count Guide

Excited to take on a DIY wedding or event and don’t know what to order? We’re here for you! Check out the information below to figure out about how much product you’ll likely need. Keep in mind that our DIY buckets generally consist of focal flowers, filler blooms, textural elements, and foliage. We select the freshest blooms our field has to offer!


Wedding bouquet: Generally includes focal blooms, filler blooms, textural elements, and foliage. For a medium size handheld bouquet, plan for 18-20 stems and for a large handheld bouquet plan for 25-30 stems.

Attendant Bouquet: Generally includes focal blooms, filler blooms, one textural element, and foliage. We recommend planning for 10-15 stems.

Centerpiece: Generally includes focal blooms, filler blooms, textural elements, and foliage. For a medium size centerpiece (10”-14” diameter) plan for 25-30 stems.

Mason jar arrangement: Generally includes focal blooms, filler blooms, textural elements, and foliage. For a small mason jar, plan for 10-12 stems, for a medium plan for 15-18 stems.

Bud vase arrangement: Generally includes just a few stems based on preference (e.g. foliage and focal bloom(s), focal bloom(s) and filler blooms, etc). Plan for 3-7 stems based on desired look.

Boutonnière: Generally includes very few elements, depending on taste. Plan for 1-2 small focal blooms, one stem of a textural element, and one stem of foliage.

Corsage: Generally includes focal blooms, filler blooms or textural elements, and foliage, depending on taste. Plan for 3 small focal blooms, 3 stems of textural or filler blooms, and 3 stems of foliage.

Flower Garland: Depending on the type and size of flowers being used, we recommend planning for 10-15 blooms per foot of garland.
